Splitting a plex
You can use the Aggregate management tab to split a plex. Splitting a mirrored aggregate removes the relationship between its two plexes and creates two independent unmirrored aggregates. After splitting, both the aggregates come online.
Steps 
1.
From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system to display a subtree of management features.
2.
Click Storage > Aggregates.
3.
Select a mirrored aggregate and click Plexes in the lower panel.
4.
Select a plex and click Split.
5.
Click Split in the confirmation window.
6.
Type the name for the newly created aggregate or use the default one provided by System Manager.
7.
Click Split.
8.
Verify that the newly created aggregate is included in the list of aggregates .
